Understanding employees' job satisfaction helps managers in advancing and improving the productivity of human resources. Efficient and motivated human resources play an essential role in increasing the effectiveness of any organization. According to existing research, various factors affect job satisfaction. These factors vary across organizations depending on organizational culture, size, compensation systems, promotion systems, and other environmental conditions. Based on hypotheses and scientific tests, this study attempts to determine the impact of organizational structure on job satisfaction with a performance improvement approach to employee productivity in the public sector. Given the importance of organizational structure's influence on job satisfaction with a performance improvement and productivity approach, the aim of this study is to examine how job satisfaction enhances performance improvement and productivity in the Civil Registration Offices of Gilan Province. The statistical population consisted of 180 employees of the Civil Registration Offices of Gilan Province, from which a sample of 100 individuals was selected using the Krejcie-Morgan table for questionnaire distribution. Sampling was conducted using stratified random sampling. This research is descriptive-analytical in method, employing field data collection. The data collection instrument included a demographic characteristics questionnaire, the Job Descriptive Index (JDI) by Weiss and Crom comprising 20 items across five dimensions (nature of work, supervisor, coworkers, promotion, and pay), and the Achio Employee Productivity Questionnaire with 20 items. Data analysis was performed using both descriptive and inferential methods. Hypothesis testing was conducted through regression analysis using SPSS software. The findings indicated that satisfaction with work, satisfaction with coworkers, satisfaction with supervisor, and satisfaction with pay had a positive and significant effect on employee performance improvement, while the promotion dimension did not have a significant effect on performance improvement in the Civil Registration Offices of Gilan Province. Based on the findings, it is recommended that greater attention be paid to employee job satisfaction, particularly satisfaction with supervisors, coworkers, and pay, in order to improve employee performance within the organization. Furthermore, given the lack of significance of promotion in this organization, it is suggested that this factor be considered according to organizational contexts, as it may yield different results in various organizations.
