| The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of organizational citizenship behavior on employee well-being and task performance among employees of Bandar Abbas Municipality. Organizational citizenship behavior, as a set of voluntary behaviors beyond the formal role expectations of employees, plays a key role in organizational sustainability and efficiency. This study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, and the statistical population consisted of all personnel, from which 145 individuals were selected as the sample using convenience random sampling in 2025. Data were collected through a standard questionnaire. The results of the first hypothesis indicated that organizational citizenship behavior has a positive and significant effect on employee well-being, such that increased positive interactions, mutual support, and sense of organizational belonging lead to enhanced job satisfaction, reduced psychological stress, and improved quality of work life. Furthermore, the findings of the second hypothesis demonstrated that organizational citizenship behavior also affects task performance, and employees with greater cooperative spirit, responsibility, and initiative perform their duties with higher accuracy, motivation, and effectiveness. Overall, the results suggest that promoting citizenship behaviors in the workplace can simultaneously enhance individual well-being and increase organizational productivity. |
